Common abbreviations for linear transport
between ports
FICY – Free in/Container yard;
Loading at the port of departure is carried out at the expense of the sender or recipient, and delivery to the container terminal at the expense of the line.
FILO – Free in/Liner out;
Loading is carried out at the expense of the sender, and unloading at the expense of the line.
FIOS / FIFO – Free in/out;
Both loading and unloading are at the expense of the sender or recipient.
LI-Door – Liner in / Door;
Loading is carried out at the port at the expense of the line and delivery to the "door" of the customer.
LIFO – Liner in/Free out;

LI - Liner In;

LO - Liner Out;
